Ladybrook’s The Power of YOU

Is a free workshop exclusive to women living in the local community.

What Is The Power of YOU?

Compassionate Voices CIC are hosting The Power of YOU at Ladybrook Community Centre.  The women’s wellbeing & empowerment programme is highly acclaimed. Over  the past few years it  has received  countless recommendations from its workshop attendees and is also used in wellbeing programmes by businesses, councils, women’s centres, high schools/colleges and  charities. More recently, Nottinghamshire County Council has funded the workshop, so that we can continue to help women who are struggling.

Who Is It For?

The Power of YOU is for women, who are looking for a lifestyle change and a confidence booster. The programme has already empowered many females and helped them overcome a wide and varied range of issues – including domestic abuse, redundancy, bullying, loss of a loved one, isolation and sudden illness. It can also support women with low self esteem and mild to medium mental health issues.

The Power of YOU Workshop and its interactive journal gives attendees the courage to share their experiences with each other. The participants rebuild together and soon realise they were never alone. Their new found confidence often crosses over into the Compassionate Voices Community, where sharing our stories is a passion.

COVID19  ruled out almost two years. As the pandemic ran its dreadful course, the lock-downs and sheer anxiety through uncertainty affected our mental health and physical wellbeing.
Normality seems to be back, however, things have changed in our lives.  Whatever your situation, don’t be alone; let The Power of YOU Workshop help you!

The Power of YOU is just the beginning. The Compassionate Voices Community not only has an online Facebook group with a monthly calendar of events but is also branching out with monthly face to face events too.  Mansfield’s venue is the Ladybrook Community Centre, Ladybrook Road every third Tuesday of the month.

Funded by Nottinghamshire County Council, ‘The Power of YOU Workshop with interactive journal is free for women in the Mansfield Community.
