My love of animals is beyond doubt, but I truly believe whilst like countless others I want to help them all, I also feel we have to find our passion and make it happen. We have to go with our hearts and focus on how and where we think we can make the most difference. It’s easy to get overwhelmed with all the bad stuff that is happening around the world, unless we take advice from the truly inspirational Dr. Jane Goodall In her words …
” I like to envision the whole world as a jigsaw puzzle with all the pieces of the puzzle scattered all over the place. If you look at the whole picture it is overwhelming and terrifying, but if you work on your little part of the jigsaw and know that people all over the world are working on their little bits of it, that’s what will give you hope.”
So, over the past few months my little pieces of the jigsaw have been with Animals Asia, training hard for my ‘Great Wall of China Trek Challenge.’ Embracing the challenges, not only with regards to the trek itself, but the lengthy flight to China, which will indeed test my fear of flying too. I hope to return from this trip, stronger, wiser and armed with countless photos and stories to share with everyone.
Another strong allegiance I have is with Carole and all my anipals at FARS Warwickshire. I have loved lambs since being a little girl and my heart sings when I am in the company of Barney, Mr Rodders and Splash – to name a few. Next weekend I will be returning to Woolly Farm, camera in hand, not only to take photos for social media, but hopefully to also help the sanctuary with some well earned publicity.
My long term goal is to connect disadvantaged children and teenagers suffering from mental health issues with animals, wildlife and nature and behind the scenes I am working extremely hard to put my dreams into action.
If anyone would like to share their passion and how they made it happen, and, or their piece of the jigsaw in a 500 – 800 word blog, I will publish both on www.acompassionatevoice.co.uk and Sharon Bull ‘A Compassionate Voice’ Please email email@example.com to discuss
