Sharon Bull is an inspirational speaker, writer and poet working under the name A Compassionate Voice. Her talks can be tailored to suit most needs and audiences, with time scales for all presentations easily adapted between 45 minutes – 120 minutes. Sharon uses her own experiences as a guide and either as a no frills speaker, or with the aid of slides, images, verse, anecdotes, humour and music, she takes the audience on a surprising, yet inspirational journey.
Passionate about raising awareness with mental health and kicking out the stigma attached to the illness, she can cover delicate issues, such as depression, anxiety, addiction, and debt in a manner that is positive, relaxed and encouraging.
Well-being, recovery and happiness are also equally important in the messages Sharon conveys as an inspirational speaker. This information is not only beneficial knowledge for employers and their workforce, but for students and school children in developing their life skills.
The second half of 2017 saw the release of her self-help memoir Stripped Bare, bringing about an overwhelming media response, which included features in The Sunday Telegraph’s Stella Magazine, The Daily Express and her debut TV interview with Eammon Holmes and Ruth Langsford on ITV’S This Morning.
“Going public about mental health issues, past mistakes and life errors that most people would probably choose to closet, rather than use as examples in a book to help others was a huge gamble to take, but I felt it was a venture worth the risk.” ~ Sharon Bull
Stripped Bare has received some wonderful reviews on both its Amazon, and Waterstones webpage, however, the comments and recommendations published on Sharon’s official face book page sharonacv, and the heartfelt personal messages have been overwhelming. Confirmation that the decision she made to share her journey was the right one to make.
